The S2G Sales Team is Growing! We are looking to hire an Account Category Manager.
Scope:
The Account Category Manager will be responsible for analyzing historical data, identifying trends, and developing accurate forecasts to support the organization's strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate data effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze historical data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can be used to improve forecasting accuracy
Provide support for ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests from various departments
Maintain price lists and communicate changes to Sales and Customer Service staff
Work closely with Finance department to ensure vendor payments reflect BER’s, price protections and allowances
Consistently engage with customer/retailer buyers, Purchasing, Finance and Marketing teams
Join and assist with vendor meetings and presentations to customer/retailer
Act as category consultant with customer/retailer through assortment and inventory recommendations
Communicate and follow up with vendor shipment discrepancies or customer level issues affecting their business (credit limitations, refusals, etc.)
Ensure vendor is billed accordingly for special projects outside of normal S2G service offering and that vendor expectations mirror company capabilities
Store level sales detail planning and forecasting
Retail script/PO writing by store
Work closely with Operations on shipping, POD, and retail compliance
Inventory Management:
Regular analysis of company inventory to maintain weeks on hand targets
Question and challenge vendor on unrealistic inventory demands and elevate as necessary
Ensure customer replenishment orders are filled in a timely fashion
Coordinate payments (CIA or otherwise) where applicable to ensure timely product flow
Analyze special buys and offers to ensure company profitability
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field strongly preferred or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, forecasting, or a similar role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful insights
Proficiency in (Tableau, Power BI, or Excel)
Knowledge of forecasting methodologies
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
The successful candidate will receive a conditional offer which will be contingent upon a successful background clearance obtained through our contracted third-party vendor. The standard clearance requirements depend on the position and may include some or all of the following: criminal or credit clearance, employment verification, education verification, and driver’s abstract review.
