The Industry Strategy, Director works collaboratively with the Head of Vertical Strategy in crafting and communicating Conga’s unique POV for the key industries that we serve. This is a multi-faceted role interfacing with Conga’s customers, sales teams and channel partners in helping them understand Conga’s industry value. Success in the role requires a unique combination of skills and above all the ability to create Conga’s value and unique perspectives for those industries.
Why it’s a big deal…
This role is pivotal to Conga’s continued growth and customer success. Last year, Conga’s vertical differentiation produced Conga’s largest growth segment. We look to expand on that success in other industries, and you can be a big part of that success. Your insights will provide our sales teams and channel partners with unique angles into how Conga operates in your industries, filling whitespace with new ways to apply Conga’s solutions. More importantly, under your direction, our customers are enabled to deliver greater revenues and margins at lower risk. In doing so, they become better partners to their end customers. Important deliverables in creating Conga’s Industry POV will include: industry profiles, sub-sector definitions, relevant use-case definitions and customer case studies.

You have extensive experience working with Marketing and Go-to-Market teams balancing long-term strategy and content with short-term sales requirements.
You are a life-long learner, who is curious and constantly improving on what has been done before.
You gain the confidence of your teammates and colleagues. Picture spending time with customers and sales teams understanding how Conga is utilized in their industry. Then presenting Conga’s unique POV back to others.

Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal. You express your views with clarity and conviction, while remaining open to other perspectives. This shows on the data sheets, decks and blogs you write and the presentations you deliver.

Here’s what will give you an edge…
Applications Software Experience. You have 10-15+ years of experience in the following:
End to end application process (ERP, Quote to Order, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, etc..)
Customer sell-side – Products, customers and channels
Company research – Learning about what our customers and prospects do excites you.
You’ve completed your Bachelors degree. An MBA or analytical Masters degree is a plus.
Product Marketing/Management experience or interface. An understanding of what makes software products successful.
AI – you have a deep interest and curiosity in AI, using it to merge your valuable content with our customer’s goals and challenges.
Initiative. You don’t wait around for things to happen or for your manager to tell you what to do. You’re not only proactive about completing your own work, but when you sense the need to introduce a project that will benefit the team or the organization -- even if it’s outside your scope of work -- you put a proposal together, talk to the team about it, and then own it. #LI-BR1 #Remote

In keeping with this approach, we are committed to delivering competitive compensation and benefits packages to our colleagues worldwide and communicating transparently about the structure of our compensation programs.
Listed below is the U.S. base salary range for this full-time position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education, or training. In addition to base salary, Conganeers receive a variable incentive pay component, perks such as flexible work options, and a full range of benefits including medical and dental insurance.
The posted salary ranges are for the expectations outlined in the job description. We are often open to a wide variety of profiles and sometimes have flexibility within our organizational structure to adjust the role responsibilities up or down should we select a candidate that is less or more experienced than the posted job requirements. In these occasional cases, we will communicate the revised salary range to the candidate during the selection process.
U.S base salary range:
$197,462—$315,938 USD
