Vendor Operations Spec
Description
In this role, you will support vendor operations within an assigned business and/or function, working under close supervision for most non-routine work. The selected person will provide day-to-day support to vendors and business partners by addressing questions and researching & resolving issues and recognize vendor performance trends and recommend process improvements.
Responsibilities:
Answers vendor and business partner questions on systems, processes, technology, and procedures of low to medium complexity. Researches and resolves issues of a low/medium complexity
Responsible for assigned contractor`s delivery of work including Quality, Timeliness, other Service Level Agreements, Inventory Management and other operational metrics
Supports research and analysis of vendor metrics to recommend changes to vendor procedures and processes
Provides feedback on vendor activities to support the overall health of the vendor partnership.
Participates in project teams and has shared accountability for project goals and outcomes. May own part of a larger project or all of a smaller one
Identifies key business relationships within own organization and can provide examples of how own work impacts a positive vendor relationship
Supports implementation by updating standard operating procedures
Provides functional guidance to and/or mentors other team members
Identify gaps, issues and/or continuous improvement opportunities of existing processes
Experience
Agency management system experience
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training and 6-12 months of relevant experience
Effective communication (oral & written) skills to interact with internal partners and external vendors
Moderate research, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
Basic understanding of business operations
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
