About the job

This position is needed to integrate and automate key IT systems. The primary focus of this role will be on integrating tools via APIs, enhancing the onboarding and offboarding processes, and developing automated self-service solutions. The Systems Engineer, IAM will work with technologies such as AD, AWS, Sailpoint and Okta workflows, focusing on integration, design, and development. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to assess the 'current state' of IAM processes and collaborate on strategies to enhance efficiency and scalability to meet future demands.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Work independently in ambiguous situations to ensure adherence to published standards and practices.

  • Prioritize and promote automation and ‘As-Code’ solutions for all internal projects within the domain.

  • Automate scripting, building systems and deploying applications to reduce repetitive tasks.

  • Be responsible for deploying enterprise level services, API’s and integration best practices.

  • Dive into new technologies frequently and expect to only develop on the bleeding edge.

  • Participate in audits, risk assessments and mitigating activities to ensure compliance.

  • Maintain a body of work with minimum backlog and tech debt that falls within SLA.

  • Integrate, Develop IAM solutions and systems with “least privilege” access in mind.

  • Mentor the next generation of engineers.

  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

Required: 

  • 3-5 years experience working with systems administration or engineering with 5+ years of overall IT experience

  • 2+ years of experience in user lifecycle management using Okta or other SSO provider

  • Successful candidates will have experience integrating and deploying a variety of services

  • Strong documentation ethic – capable of maintaining  procedure & Documentation

  • Experience with AWS, GCP,  or Azure and an understanding of distributed systems

  • A passion for technology, a love for helping people, and an attention to detail

  • Experience with Okta, Sailpoint, ServicesNow, Google/AWS Workspaces

  • Understand and be able to implement or interact with a REST API

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash, with a focus on automation and process improvement.

  • Ability to collaborate with resources across multiple disciplines

  • Experience setting up automated workflows.

Desired:

  • BS in Computer Science/DevOps Engineering or equivalent professional experience 

  • Knowledge of ITIL framework/standard methodologies and ability to understand the concepts of identity management for enterprise systems.

Location

This role will be remote, and based in Ireland.

Travel 

We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 10% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.
