Job Title: Staff DevOps Software Engineer

A quick snapshot…Conga is looking for a talented Staff DevOps Engineer with a strong software engineering background to join our team and help us establish and employ Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery patterns and collaboratively work with other members to achieve successful continuous delivery solutions. This is a high impact role that blends software engineering, DevOps, and reliability principles to improve developer experience and system resilience.

Are you the person we’re looking for?
Education and Related Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
8+ years of hands-on experience in architecting and building scalable software delivery solutions, including compute-intensive workloads, and delivering solutions with high availability.
Core Technical Strengths
Software engineering background in .NET, Golang, Python, JavaScript.
Strong hands-on expertise with Terraform.
Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, multi-tenant SaaS, and cloud-native design.
Hands-on expertise with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, etc.)
Strong background with AWS and Azure, including security, networking, and DR strategies.
Strong understanding of DevSecOps methodologies.
Observability & Reliability Expertise
Experience with OpenTelemetry (OTEL), logging/metrics/tracing standards, and instrumentation patterns.
Hands-on with observability stacks such as LGTM, or commercial tools like New Relic, DataDog, Dynatrace.
Familiarity with synthetic monitoring, error budgets, and SLI/SLO frameworks.
Ability to design and implement observability pipelines for distributed systems.

Certifications. Cloud certifications in AWS/Azure/Kubernetes
Working Experience. Experience architecting or facilitating the deployment of solutions on Kubernetes, architecting Cloud-based solutions that employ fault tolerance functionality and disaster recovery capabilities. Experience designing solutions that implement security frameworks such as OAuth, WS-Security, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, Agile software development, preferably with working experience using solutions including Atlassian Jira.
Leadership: You can coach and mentor DevOps engineers. You thrive in cross-functional teams, collaborating with software engineers, QA, security, and operations.
