Sr. Workday Integration Engineer
This role will sit on the People Team and not within Informational Technology. It is a remote role.
Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior Workday Integration Engineer (P4) to lead the design, development, and maintenance of integrations between Workday and internal/external systems. In this role, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with the People team, Payroll, Finance, and IT to ensure data flows securely, accurately, and efficiently across platforms. You’ll also play a key role in Workday enhancement projects and partner with stakeholders to continuously improve the overall Workday ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations using EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, and Workday Web Services (REST/SOAP).
Serve as the technical lead for integration-related projects, including new system implementations and enhancements.
Troubleshoot, test, and resolve integration issues in a timely and scalable manner.
Partner with internal stakeholders (People, Payroll, Benefits, IT) to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Document technical designs, support procedures, and maintain integration-related documentation.
Monitor integration runs, logs, and error messages to ensure system health and data integrity.
Conduct and create routine system audits to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and optimal system performance.
Build and maintain custom reports using Workday Report Writer to support business insights and operational needs.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance post go-live, including upgrades and Workday release testing.
Serve as a subject matter expert on Workday integration best practices.
Qualifications
8+ years of hands-on Workday integration experience.
Strong experience in XSLT, XPath, and XML.
Experience with Workday Report Writer for creating and managing custom reports.
Ability to conduct system audits and recommend improvements based on findings.
Familiarity with security, data privacy, and compliance requirements related to People and payroll data.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have
Experience integrating Workday with third-party global payroll systems (e.g., Cloudpay, Excelity, etc).
Workday certifications (e.g., Workday Integration Core, Studio, Report Writer)

The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to the compensation listed, this position may be eligible for equity compensation, and a bonus or commission whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual or company performance.
