Job Description

The Setup Squad is responsible for maintain the core primary services within the Pismo platform. This team is tasked with developing and maintaining services and tools that facilitate seamless onboarding and configuration for Pismo’s products.

Many of our services demand high availability, integrity, and strong performance. Therefore, understanding microservices, event-driven architecture, and observability is important for this team. We value a collaborative atmosphere where open and clear communication among team members is encouraged.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain applications using Golang, with deployment on AWS.

  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system robustness.

  • Use Terraform to provision, maintain, and evolve AWS infrastructure.

  • Monitor application health and performance using observability tools (metrics, logs, alerts).

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, DevEx, QA, Security and DevOps teams to deliver impactful solutions.

  • Contribute to architectural and technical discussions, supporting continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Operate in a highly documented environment, with a focus on clear and transparent communication.

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

  • For this role, you must be based in Brazil.

Language Skills

  • Proficiency in English at B1 level (Intermediate) or above.

Technical Skills

  • At least 6 months of experience working with Go (Golang) in production environments.

  • 3+ years of experience with programming languages.

  • Experience with AWS services (e.g., SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3).

  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

  • Experience with REST APIs and modern backend development practices.

  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues in complex systems.

  • Strong focus on testing and software quality.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Docker/Containers.

  • Background in event-driven architecture and messaging systems.

  • Understanding of observability practices (monitoring, tracing, alerting).

  • Hands-on experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
