Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings has an opening for a Sr. Programmer/ Analyst. This is a remote position; can work anywhere in the U.S.

Job Description:

  • Develop applications using C#.net language and platforms: VB applications that support the resulting, reporting, and billing part of LabCorp’s Diagnostics services part need to be modernized using the C#.net suite.

  • This requires extensive experience in c#.Net and its suites of features including Entity Framework and Windows services creation, ADO.Net, and MS SQL server (Utilize Microsoft VB6 and C#.net languages and platforms for software development.)

  • A solid understanding of Object-Oriented analysis and design is required.

  • Perform production system support and maintenance activities.

  • Support issues reported by business users by analyzing the application logs in User systems and providing ongoing maintenance, and support/tracking issues using an incident management platform.

  • Supporting the applications/users includes debugging and fixing issues in business-critical Anatomic pathology reporting applications.

  • Document application solutions with tools MS Office and MS Visio. As a part of app modernization, the existing architecture and the new design must be documented and stored in the LabCorp Document repository system.

  • Design data models for relational databases (MS SQL Server) as a part of the app development/enhancement.

  • Design and Develop Enhancements: By Utilizing both Microsoft VB6 and C#.net languages and platforms for software development, work on enhancing existing Diagnostics applications.

  • Both waterfall and agile methodologies will be followed to efficiently develop and maintain application software.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science or related field and at least 7 years of progressive experience as a Software Developer or related role.

  • Must possess at least 7 years of experience with Enterprise Development: VB 6, .Net, Java, XML, Web Services.

  • Must possess at least 7 years of experience with Operating Systems: MS Windows, Linux.

  • Must possess at least 7 years of experience with Visual Tools and Languages: Visual Basic 6.0, MS Visual Studio (C#.NET), Java.

  • Must possess at least 7 years of experience with Data Access Technologies: ADO.Net, ADO, PL-SQL, Oracle OCI, RPC.

  • Must possess at least 7 years of experience with Database: MS SQL Server, Oracle.

  • Must possess at least 7 years of experience with Web servers: Internet Information Server (IIS).

  • Must possess and at least 7 years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports.

Approximately 40 hours per week; salary range is $135,179 per year.
