Sr. Manager - Global Compensation
Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager, Global Compensation to lead the design, development, and execution of innovative compensation programs that support the attraction, motivation, and retention of top talent. As a senior member of the Total Rewards team, you will oversee compensation strategy, governance, and program delivery across the organization. This role will require strong partnership with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external advisors to ensure our compensation offerings remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals and growth initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:
Compensation Strategy and Governance:
Lead the development and refinement of global compensation philosophy and strategy aligned with business objectives, talent priorities, and market trends.
Lead enterprise-wide pay equity and competitive market analysis initiatives, translating findings into actionable strategies and leadership recommendations.
Monitor and assess program effectiveness through KPIs, stakeholder feedback, and predictive modeling; drive continuous improvement based on insights.
Program Design, Analysis and Optimization:
Oversee the evaluation, design, and implementation of compensation programs including salary structures, incentive plans, equity frameworks, and recognition programs.
Analyze compensation-related metrics, such as pay equity, pay for performance, and cost projections, and provide insights and recommendations to drive decision-making.
Collaborate with Finance and other stakeholders to develop annual compensation budgets, forecasts, and long-term projections.
Brainstorm and create efficiency driven process improvements to elevate the operational aspects of managing the day-to-day compensation tasks (workflows, approvals, reporting, data loads)
Team Leadership and Cross-functional Collaboration:
Manage and mentor a team of compensation professionals, setting clear goals, fostering development, and driving high performance.
Partner with HRBPs, Finance, Talent Acquisition, Legal, and senior leadership to deliver cohesive and scalable compensation solutions across the business.
Play a key role in M&A integration activities related to compensation due diligence, harmonization, and retention planning.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
Develop and deliver compelling presentations, reports, and executive summaries for senior leadership and board-level audiences.
Lead the creation of manager training and resources to increase transparency and understanding of compensation principles and processes.
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on compensation strategy, challenges, and risk mitigation.
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in compensation, with 3+ years in a people leadership or senior advisory role.
Proven ability to design and manage global compensation programs at scale, including experience with M&A integration and IPO readiness.
Strong business acumen and understanding of how compensation impacts organizational performance, workforce planning, and retention.
Expertise in compensation tools (e.g., MarketPay), HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday), and equity systems (e.g., Shareworks).
Deep understanding of global compensation regulations and best practices.
Advanced Excel and data modeling skills; familiarity with data visualization or analytics platforms is a plus.
High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed and fast-paced environment.
Required Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; or equivalent work experience
Master’s degree preferred.
Professional certifications such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar are a plus.
Compensation:
Qualified candidates can expect a compensation range of $155,000/yr to $170,000/yr or more depending on experience.
