About This Role
We're on the hunt for a dedicated and talented individual to join our accounting team! This role is not just a job—it’s an opportunity to grow alongside us as we take our company to new heights. You'll play a pivotal part in enhancing our daily accounting operations while supporting the team across a variety of accounting tasks. Together, we’ll shape the future and achieve extraordinary things!
Role & Responsibilities
Oversee daily cash activity, including recording and bank reconciliation
Maintain records and schedules for leases in compliance with ASC 842 and prepare journal entries
Prepare and record monthly payroll accruals, including salaries, bonuses, benefits, and related taxes
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations at month-end close
Prepare ad hoc reports for department leads
Ability to manipulate and code large data sets into proper expense classification using Excel formulas
Initiate and participate in process, control, and financial reporting improvement projects
Develop relationships and work closely with the Accounting Manager and business partners in order to provide accounting and business support
Required Qualifications
Ability to work US hours: 7pm - 3am PHT / 4am - 12pm PST
Bachelors degree in Accounting
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements
Advanced Excel skills with data manipulation familiarity
Month-end close experience
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize
Proven analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated understanding of accounting cycles
Strong interpersonal skills to work well in teams or groups, formally and informally
Ability to identify and implement process improvements, as well as being proactive about creating opportunities for improvement
Self-motivated and self-managed to think independently, creatively, and opportunistically
Get-it-done mindset to handle diverse workload and multiple deadlines well
Preferred Qualifications
Lease accounting experience (ASC 842) preferred but not required
Experience with Quickbooks, Rippling and Ramp preferred
Compensation & Benefits
$2,000 - $2,500 USD per month
