Senior Workday Integration Engineer
Summary
HubSpot is seeking a highly capable and driven Senior Workday Integration Engineer to join our team!
The primary focus of this role is to design, develop, deploy, and support integrations and automations across our HR applications. Core systems include Workday, Greenhouse, ServiceNow, Degreed, and Totara.
Success in this role requires someone who is a proactive problem solver, skilled in systems analysis and design, and confident navigating complexity and ambiguity. We're looking for someone who can collaborate across teams and drive meaningful change as HubSpot continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and support integrations; troubleshoot and resolve cases
Enhance existing integrations for new features and evolving system requirements
Conduct system analysis and design to improve workflows, processes, and automations
Ideate, prototype, and advocate for improvements to tools and architecture
Design, develop, and deploy integrations using:
Workday Studio, APIs (REST & SOAP), EIB outbound, CCB, RaaS, XSLT
Build custom applications and orchestrations using Workday Extend
Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing
Research and adopt new functionality within supported tools
Ensure all integrations meet SOX, SOC, Legal, and Security compliance requirements
Test integrations and key reports during Workday upgrades
Provide prototypes and guidance on Workday APIs for external developers
Create and maintain technical documentation, support notes, and knowledge base articles
Required Experience & Skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
3+ years of experience in:
Systems analysis & design
Project management
HR/ERP application integration
Designing and developing complex, compliant integrations
Support and monitoring in SOX/SOC-compliant environments
Workday Studio, EIB, CCB, CCW, PECI
SOAP, REST, Webhooks
XML, XSLT, JSON
Programming fundamentals in Java, JavaScript, or Python
1+ years of experience in:
Workday Extend (developed both apps and orchestrations)
AI tools or experimentation with pragmatic use cases
Nice to Have
Experience with ServiceNow
iPaaS tools: Workato, Boomi, Zapier, or Mulesoft
Past experience with other business-critical systems
Leadership & Communication Skills

Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

This is a remote-friendly role, with the requirement to be located within 3 hours of EST to ensure time zone alignment with the team.
Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
