Within our Product and Innovation function, we create, test, and evolve new and existing products and services with a spirit of curiosity, creativity, and customer-centricity. We explore new ideas, emerging technologies, and evolving market trends to keep our work fresh, relevant, and meaningful.

Job Description

As a Senior User Researcher at Insights, you’ll help us understand the people who use our products; their needs, behaviours, challenges, and motivations. Your work will give our teams the evidence they need to make thoughtful, confident decisions, ensuring our products truly make a difference in people’s lives.

You’ll lead complex, strategic research projects across the full product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery. You’ll uncover insights that shape design, guide strategy, and keep us grounded in what matters most: our users.

What you’ll do

  • Design and deliver end-to-end research using the right application of qualitative and quantitative methods.

  • Turn complex data and stories into clear, meaningful insights that guide product and service decisions.

  • Champion user research, influence senior stakeholders, and help teams to adopt user-centred ways of working.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and software engineers to integrate user research findings throughout the agile development process.

  • Lead the way in inclusive and ethical research practices, making sure our solutions work for all kinds of users.

  • Align research activities with wider organisational goals so user insight drives both strategic and day-to-day decisions.

  • Share insights through storytelling, workshops, presentations and conversations that bring users’ voices to life.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience in leading user research projects, with a proven ability to design and deliver end-to-end research.

  • Strong experience selecting and applying a range of research methods to generate actionable insights that inform product and service direction.

  • Confidence analysing and synthesising complex data, helping others see what’s important and driving evidence-based decisions.

  • A user-centred mindset and an understanding of how to embed that thinking across teams and processes.

  • The ability to influence stakeholders and connect research findings to business strategy and long-term value.

  • Inclusive thinking and an understanding of how to involve diverse users in meaningful ways.

  • A natural communicator who can translate insight into direction for teams and stakeholders.

  • A curious, reflective approach, always learning, always growing.

How you show up

  • You’re inspired by our purpose and excited to help people grow and connect through our work.

  • You’re comfortable taking ownership, using your initiative, and seeing things through from start to finish.

  • A good team player, able to work collaboratively with fellow researchers and colleagues from other disciplines.

  • You value honesty, openness, and respectful collaboration; and you help others feel included and heard.

  • You’re open to feedback, comfortable with experimentation, and see setbacks as learning opportunities.
