Menlo Security's mission is enabling the world to connect, communicate and collaborate securely without compromise. COVID-19 has made our mission all the more real. We support customers across various enterprises including Fortune 500 companies, 9/10 of the largest global banks and the Department of Defense.

The world has fundamentally changed. We are growing from 400 employees into the next phase of our journey, and we need passionate talent filled with empathy and agility. The right candidate for the job is ethical, hyper-organized, fanatical about seeing things through to completion, service-oriented, and humble enough to take feedback and coaching yet confident enough to provide feedback and coaching.

Menlo is well-funded for growth and our investors are second to none. They include Vista Equity Partners (“Vista”), General Catalyst, JPMC, American Express, HSBC, and Ericsson Ventures.

About the Role

Menlo’s Engineering team is looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to support and enable our UK engineering teams. In the role, you'll coordinate and plan priorities and cross-team dependencies both within our engineering teams as well as across the organization with our stakeholders. Our ideal candidate is someone who can bring structure to ambiguity, improve program processes, and manage dependencies across teams. You’ll be expected to think strategically while executing tactically, balancing technical depth with strong organizational and communication skills. Success in this role requires the ability to support multiple projects in parallel, make quick and efficient prioritization decisions regularly, and demonstrate judgement on when to escalate risks.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engineering Leaders and Product Managers to build the roadmap and work with internal teams to communicate, manage, and deliver commits

  • Drive prioritization of multiple software engineering teams working together to run and improve our products and services

  • Work with engineering leads to define technical milestones, assess risks, and make informed trade-offs in scope, schedule, and resources

  • Manage communications for internal stakeholders, provide forecasting and scalability requirements, and report on status to drive alignment and visibility across teams

  • Own the agile processes for the team and work with Engineering Leaders to improve it

  • Serve as a leader and key contributor within theTPM team, providing guidance to other TPMs and contributing to a culture of collaboration and growth

  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering delivery processes, tools, and workflows, and lead efforts to implement best practices

  • Develop a strong relationship with your Engineering and PM partners, becoming a trusted advisor and key component of driving success for their teams and products

  • Coordinate and document cross-team dependencies, and create plans to manage them

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience

  • 5-8 years experience as supporting technical teams in a program management or project management role

  • Experience building SaaS services and supporting high performing engineering teams in an agile environment

  • Deep familiarity of contemporary software development methodologies, tools, and best practices associated with building and deploying services

  • Strong technical understanding of software development practices, SDLC, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to handle ambiguity and lead teams through change and complexity

Why Menlo?

Our culture is collaborative, inclusive, and fun! We have five core values: Stay Aligned, Get It Done, Customer Empathy, Think Creatively and Help Each Other Out. We believe in open communication, supporting new ideas, and sharing a mutual mindset of what we’re aiming to achieve together. There are tremendous opportunities to take initiative, implement new ideas, and have a hand in building a legacy.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or on the basis of disability.

TO ALL AGENCIES: Please, no phone calls or emails to any employee of Menlo Security outside of the Talent organization. Menlo Security’s policy is to only accept resumes from agencies via Ashby (ATS). Agencies must have a valid services agreement executed and must have been assigned by the Talent team to a specific requisition.
