Senior Software Engineer I (Backend) - Invoices and Credits

The Invoices and Credits team at HubSpot have made it their mission to create timely and accurate invoices for HubSpot customers, and provide transparency to invoice calculations, allowing them to put their energy into being able to 'Grow Better'.
Right now, the group is looking to welcome a customer-focused senior engineer with a Backend view who is: passionate about developing and shipping world-class products, interested in working in a technically complex domain, and wants to challenge existing assumptions and decisions to drive the best path forward. Prior Fintech experience preferred but not required.
As a senior engineer, you will:
Write and ship production code that has meaningful user and business impact
Envision, build and analyze new features and tools, each contributing to company growth and revenue
Work with a small cross functional team of engineers, PMs, designers, content designers, and researchers
Collaborate with HubSpotters all over the company, whether in engineering, product, design, research, marketing, sales, etc
Help HubSpot users meet their goals, via changes you’ve made
Implement experiments that give us valuable insights into user behavior and how to improve their experience
Get exposure to how HubSpot works as a business
You may be a fit if:
You have backend development experience and are happy spending your time writing in Java.
You have a strong focus on the user. You can gain empathy for their challenges and understand how they may flow through our product.
You not only get excited about big, technical challenges, but also about being very close to the business and our go-to-market strategies
Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
