Our client is the US cannabis industry’s #1 B2B platform and has revolutionized the way thousands of brands, distributors, and retailers manage their operations. The company’s industry-defining tools make it easier for cannabis businesses to create, manage, pay for, and ship their orders, so they can focus on growing their businesses. Their marketplace processed approximately $5 billion in annual orders in 2022, supporting 50% of U.S. wholesale cannabis commerce.
Our client is seeking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our fast-moving, supportive team of engineers. This person should be passionate about researching and developing automated solutions that help the engineering department rapidly solve interesting, large-scale problems. This role will contribute to building and ideating on testing frameworks that ensure the quality of their existing and emerging systems. You will work with AWS, Cypress, Vue.js, and Python. As a member of our engineering team, you will be in a position to have a direct, lasting impact everywhere that technology powers our business. We have a strong bias for action: more POCs, and fewer planning docs.
Working with teams to understand product requirements, architecture, integrations, and features to design and develop robust, re-usable automated test suites according to compliance and standards
Work with Product to ensure core workflows are properly automated within our E2E test suite
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing/legacy features
Set up, write, maintain, and perform test automation on multiple application platforms via Cypress and Postman and work closely with application and cloud engineering to advise on improvements to our automated test suite.
Perform in-depth and detailed investigations into data quality issues
What will help you succeed
5+ years working in service-oriented, API-driven, and event-driven application tech stacks and working knowledge of the challenges and gotchas that can bring to the SDLC
5+ years of software engineering experience developing web applications in Python, JavaScript and TypeScript. Vue.js and Django are preferred frameworks but not required.
5+ years of expertise in SQL databases and administration tools, Postgres is preferred.
3+ years of experience in building test frameworks, functional testing, and end-to-end test automation with underlying systems that operate within fully containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) using tools & applications such as Jenkins, Datadog, Github, Cypress, Postman, and JMeter
