JOB DESCRIPTION
Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Information Security (InfoSec) This role will focus on vulnerability management, threat detection, and remediation efforts, contributing to the protection of Green Dot’s infrastructure, applications, and data assets. Key Responsibilities
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud and on-prem environments.
Administer and optimize security tools including scanners, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection systems.
Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Application teams to remediate identified risks.
Monitor threat intelligence feeds and triage alerts based on severity and business impact.
Develop and maintain security documentation, including runbooks, policies, and risk reports.
Support incident response activities and forensic investigations.
Participate in security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for secure design.
Track and report vulnerability metrics to technical teams and senior leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security engineering.
Proficiency with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7).
Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) and EDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, Carbon Black).
Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
Familiarity with cloud security (AWS preferred), including IAM, VPC, and security groups.
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2, NIST).

PAY RANGE
The targeted base salary for this position is $104,900 to $157,300 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
