The Role

Home Solutions is seeking an experienced data engineer to take on an instrumental role in leading the design, implementation, and management of our digital marketing data warehouse. You will join our tech team supporting reporting structures and technical components for one of the largest P&Ls in our exciting growth-stage company. Your Day to Day
Understand complex business problems and advance the architecture to solve those business problems at scale
Model raw data into datasets that enable analytics across the company.
Develop database design and architecture with business stakeholders to manage large and complex datasets
Create, implement and maintain key tools and reporting structures at scale that help us manage the data driving our digital marketing platform.
Scope and timeline technical backend projects to work with senior leadership to prioritize solutions
Explore and implement automation data tasks to drive key insights across our digital marketing channels.
Build solutions on a cloud native foundation with modern DevOps practices
Ensure solutions are well-tested and scale to meet future needs
Partner with business teams to troubleshoot and replicate production issues and implement fixes
Lead efforts to improve engineering, testing and operational excellence best practices
Strong interest in learning new frameworks and technologies
Able to build and maintain multi-functional relationships with various teams across the business
About You
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
3+ years of experience in data engineering and SQL.
3+ years of experience in a programming language. Python required. Javascript or PHP optional
2+ years of experience developing data solutions leveraging Postgres
Understanding of core database principles and experience designing and building relational and non-relational databases.
Ability to solve for different problems based on need (large data stores versus quick data retrieval)
Experience in configuring data pipelines using external tools like Airflow, FiveTran, or Segment
Knowledge of process automation via tools or command line
Ability to work productively on a remote, geographically distributed team
Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
