Senior Manager - IT Asset and CMDB

This role will support a larger critical initiative for the organization.  As Vonage builds processes and implements tools for IT Asset Management (ITAM) and a Configuration Management Database (CMDB), this role will be key in driving the building of a team and delivering a world class ITAM and CMDB function.  The individual in this role will demonstrate subject matter expertise in CMDB and ITAM principles.  As a Senior Manager IT Asset Management and CMDB, the candidate is expected to successfully build and lead a team that will deliver and maintain a world class function that is key to Vonage’s IT strategy.

What you will do:

• Oversee the overall management and accuracy of a Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data quality, defining data models, establishing processes for data entry and updates, collaborating with stakeholders to gather necessary information, and monitoring compliance with CMDB standards to maintain a reliable and up-to-date view of the IT infrastructure. 

• Implement and maintain discovery, providing governance to ensure data completeness and accuracy.

• Design and maintain the CMDB data model, including CI relationships.

• Develop and document processes for data entry, updates, and retirement.

• Review and approve updates to CMDB attributes and classifications.

• Monitor and review data inconsistencies and remediate as needed.

• Develop IT asset lifecycle management policies and standards to be adhered to across the organization by asset owners.

• Implement processes for governance for adherence to standards and policies by asset owners.

• Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPI) to track and report on asset management inventory and lifecycle.

• Accountable for creating and maintaining the consolidated asset inventory.

• Exhibit strong communication, collaboration and conflict management skills to establish and maintain relationships with IT, business functions, customers, and 3rd parties.

• Ability to educate,  follow up, and influence stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards and policies
