Company Description

Assent is the leading solution for supply chain sustainability tailored for the world’s top-tier, sustainability-driven manufacturers. Hidden risks riddle supply chains, many of which weren't built with sustainability in mind. That's where we step in. With insights from experts, Assent is the tool manufacturers trust for comprehensive sustainability.

We are proud to announce that Assent has crossed the US$100M ARR milestone, granting us Centaur Status. This accomplishment, reached just 8 years following our Series A, makes us the first and only Certified B Corporation in North America's SaaS sustainability industry to celebrate this milestone.

Our journey from $5 million to US$100M ARR in just eight years has been marked by significant growth and achievements. With our $350 million US funding led by Vista Equity Partners, we're poised for even greater expansion and are on the lookout for outstanding team members to join our mission.

Hybrid Work Model

At Assent, we proudly embrace a remote-first work model, valuing the flexibility and autonomy it provides our team. We also acknowledge the intangible benefits of occasional in-person workdays. For team members situated within 50 kms/31 miles of our five global offices in Ottawa, Eldoret, Penang, Columbus, Pune and Amsterdam, you can expect to come into the office at least one day a week. Similarly, those near our co-working spaces in Nairobi and Toronto are encouraged to work onsite once a month.

Job Description

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Systems plays a critical leadership role in Assent’s technology organization. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Technology & Data Solutions, this role leads the team responsible for the strategy, governance, and optimization of the Salesforce platform (Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds)—a core system powering Assent’s commercial and customer success operations.

The right candidate brings an AI-first mindset and is keenly interested in identifying automation and innovation opportunities through Agentforce and other Salesforce solutions, helping drive smarter, faster, and more connected business processes across the enterprise.

As the owner of Salesforce, the Senior Manager ensures the platform’s stability, scalability, security, and long-term health. The role also provides limited administrative oversight for a small number of connected satellite systems, ensuring alignment and data consistency across the broader enterprise ecosystem. The Senior Manager partners closely with the Enterprise Integration, Enterprise Architecture, and PMO teams to ensure cross-functional alignment, effective integrations, and a scalable technology foundation.

This is an opportunity to lead the evolution of Assent’s Salesforce ecosystem, shaping its future state through modern architecture, automation, and innovation. The Senior Manager will play a central role in driving measurable business outcomes and platform excellence across a global, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the Enterprise Systems team, fostering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Manage Salesforce platform ownership (Sales and Service Clouds), ensuring stability, scalability, data integrity, and security.

  • Establish and enforce Salesforce best practices across configuration, automation, and governance.

  • Drive platform modernization through Flow-first and Lightning-first design principles.

  • Partner with the Enterprise Integration team to ensure seamless connectivity and scalable integration patterns (e.g., Workato, Salesforce APIs).

  • Maintain the Salesforce roadmap, reporting progress and platform health to leadership.

  • Oversee vendor relationships, user access, and compliance in collaboration with IT Security.

  • Translate business priorities into actionable delivery plans, managing backlogs, sprints, and change control processes.

  • Deliver measurable improvements in adoption, performance, and automation maturity, aligned to KPIs.

  • Champion AI and automation opportunities (e.g., Agentforce) to enhance productivity and user experience.

  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Operations, ensuring Salesforce solutions meet enterprise needs.

Qualifications

Leadership and Salesforce Platform Management Experience

  • At least 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce technical experience, with proven success overseeing the administration, optimization, and governance of the Salesforce platform (Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds).

  • A minimum of 2+ years leading Salesforce platform teams or major cross-cloud initiatives is required. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in Salesforce configuration, automation, and security, combined with the leadership ability to guide a distributed team of administrators and manage vendor partnerships.

  • This role requires a seasoned leader who has successfully driven platform roadmaps, ensured scalability, performance, and data integrity across complex enterprise environments, and applied Salesforce best practices to deliver innovation, automation, and measurable business value. Experience integrating Salesforce with other business systems is essential.

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven success owning the Salesforce platform, including configuration, security, and release governance.

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and ecosystem tools.

  • Demonstrated experience managing roadmaps, security posture, and executive reporting for enterprise platforms.

  • Experience collaborating with integration, architecture, and security teams to ensure platform scalability and compliance.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Awareness of AI and automation trends within Salesforce and related SaaS applications.

  • Professional certifications in Salesforce (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, or Platform App Builder) are considered assets.
