Senior Director Strategic Operations
Strategic Execution: Support the COO in executing high-level strategic goals and priorities from initiation through delivery. Serve as a liaison between the COO and operational units to ensure alignment and effective strategy execution. Lead and drive special projects and cross-functional programs from concept to execution that impacts field operations. Develop frameworks and narratives to support strategic planning and communication. Ensure alignment across teams and timely execution of key deliverables. Implement best practices and continuous improvement methodologies. Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Lead the Center of Operations Excellence as the central hub for operational expertise. Capture and document knowledge into training materials and operational documentation. Develop and deliver training programs on Gordian's procurement solutions and values. Ensure adherence to processes and standard work across teams. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Document and maintain standard work and operational procedures. Standardize solution delivery to ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred). Experience: 8+ years in operations, strategy, consulting, or similar roles, with 5+ years in senior leadership. Skills: Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Proven track record in managing complex projects and driving outcomes. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to influence without authority and build cross-functional relationships. Experience working with executive leadership and handling confidential information. Familiarity with analytics and data-driven decision-making (preferred). Strategic thinker with a bias for action. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing multiple priorities. High emotional intelligence and executive presence. Strong business acumen and understanding of operational levers.
