We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Director Talent Strategy to lead initiatives that drive employee growth, engagement, and retention. This role will be central to shaping our culture, scaling our people practices, and building organizational resilience as we grow. Unlike a purely managerial role, this position blends leadership, strategy, and hands-on execution.
The ideal candidate has a strong track record of designing employee development programs in fast-scaling startup environments (up to ~500 employees), leverages AI in progressive and practical ways, and is passionate about building a productive, engaged workforce.
You will:
Program Development & Scaling
Design, implement, and scale employee development programs, including learning pathways, mentorship initiatives, and career progression frameworks.
Build manager capability programs that drive employee engagement and retention.
Ensure programs are scalable, flexible, and aligned with the needs of a high-growth workforce.
Employee Engagement & Retention
Develop initiatives that enhance employee experience, connection, and culture.
Act as a senior People Partner for executives and managers, providing guidance on employee relations, coaching, and team effectiveness.
Roll up sleeves on org design projects, including role definition, reporting structures, and scaling frameworks.
Support and sometimes lead sensitive investigations, performance management conversations, and conflict resolution.
Use employee feedback and data insights to continuously improve development programs.
Innovation & AI Integration
Leverage AI tools to personalize learning and development experiences, streamline HR processes, and measure program effectiveness.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to bring cutting-edge approaches to talent development.
Collaboration & Leadership
Partner with senior leadership, HR, and business leaders to ensure talent development strategies support company goals.
Coach and mentor HR Generalists to strengthen their impact on organizational development.
Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader in employee development and engagement.
You have:
8+ years in People/HR leadership roles, ideally in high-growth or startup environments.
Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
Experience in people partnering, organizational design, and employee relations.
Strong background in employee engagement and retention strategies.
Demonstrated ability to design and launch innovative HR and development initiatives.
Experience integrating AI and digital tools into HR and talent development strategies.
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
A strategic thinker who is also hands-on and execution-oriented.
A belief that AI is reshaping work, you instinctively use it to accelerate everything you do.
Pay transparency: $200,000 + for base salary, depending on experience.
