(Senior) Data Engineer

Your position in our team
Design, develop, and optimize cloud-native data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using AWS services and own the underlying infrastructure
Be responsible for data models that support various analytical and operational needs for thousands of gyms with more than 10 mio members
Collaborate closely within the Data Team, and other engineering teams to translate complex business challenges into innovative, data-driven solutions
Driven data excellence and integrity across all stages of the data lifecycle by enforcing data governance best practices ensuring data reliability and trustworthiness
Continuously learn, evaluate, integrate or further develop new cutting-edge data technologies (e.g. streaming databases, data mesh) to maintain our competitive edge
Your profile
3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with focus on Data Warehousing
A deep understanding of data architecture principles
Proficiency in Python and its relevant data engineering with extensive experience in working with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GC)
Solid command of both relational (e.g. Postgres) and non-relational (e. g. MongoDB, Dynamo DB) database systems
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to debug complex data issues and implement robust solutions
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
Familiarity with common data services like e.g. DBT, Redshift Spark, EMR
