Senior Cloud FinOps Engineer
Scopely is looking for a Senior Cloud FinOps Engineer to join our IT/Ops team in Canada on a remote basis.

What You Will Do
In this role, you will partner with game teams, central tech, and finance to drive cloud cost efficiency, governance, and forecasting. Also, you’ll support automation efforts, manage FinOps intake, and build AI-enabled dashboards that provide actionable insights for faster decision-making.
Drive cloud cost optimization efforts across multiple cloud providers and services
Lead monthly accruals, allocations, forecasting, and financial reporting cycles
Develop and maintain financial models to track and forecast cloud spend
Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
Act as a trusted advisor to game & finance teams—balancing business value, cost, and performance
Drive timely reviews with game teams and finance partners to ensure visibility and accountability
Partner with stakeholders on contract/vendor analysis, workload reviews, and optimization planning
Operationalize FinOps tooling and automation workflows for optimization and governance
Build and maintain dashboards with AI integration support for anomaly detection, forecasting, and reporting
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience in cloud cost management and FinOps will be considered)
5+ years (preferred) of experience deploying and supporting cloud-native applications and solutions
3+ years of direct cloud cost management/optimization experience
Solid understanding and hands-on experience with AWS and GCP
Experience with cloud cost management tools (CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, ProsperOps, Spot.io, etc.)
Strong communication skills with ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences
