General Summary:
The Senior Cloud Engineer II is responsible for working with cross-functional teams to design, test, expand, implement, monitor, and document cloud services utilized in the product. This role will drive improvement projects around deployment, security, and performance while supporting basic engineering tasks including scripting, automation, and code reviews
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides support to the Engineering teams, with a high attention to detail.
Researches, analyzes, and documents findings.
May influence others within the DevOps team through the explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
Designs, builds, and delivers cloud computing solutions, hosted services, and underlying software infrastructure.
Designs and architect's solutions for existing client-facing applications as they are moved into cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Supports and troubleshoots scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, and restorations of different environments.
Assists with deployment, automation, and security of cloud servers hosting our applications.
Reviews, documents, and implements security policies on cloud infrastructure.
Ensures required pro-active diagnostics and monitoring of cloud infrastructure are in place.
Architects' automation solutions for reduction of costs and efficiencies improvement.
Maintains awareness of PaaS, LaaS, and related technology trends and how trends impact product.

Ability to work independently on projects and processes with general supervision
Practical knowledge of applicable work area
Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business requirement
Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure Environments.
Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (Python, Cloud Formation)
Knowledge of System Administration for both Linux and Windows based servers
Ability to work constructively and independently under stress and pressure in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
Ability to interact positively and openly with colleagues and external business contacts, with strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong technical skills including networking, security, and database design
Knowledge of relevant software development tools including version control, build processes, debuggers, and test frameworks
Strong knowledge of Cloud infrastructure including deployment and monitoring of available, scalable, secure environments
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
4+ years of relevant experience
Preferred: Experience in Automation architecture development and maintenance.
Working Conditions:
Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location.
0-10% travel may be required.
On-call rotation for emergencies and system outages.
