What are you going to do?

Our client is a global digital media organization built for the visionaries, builders, and doers. They serve as the connection point between a world of information and curious adventurers always searching for a way to Get In. Their media brands reach more than 350M people a month, all of whom are all looking for their next big adventure.

Our client is a global news and lifestyle publication with teams in New York, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and beyond. Their mission is to inform and inspire the digital generation and become the most influential and loved journalism brand in the world. To do this, they delight their audience, clients, and colleagues and get better every day (you’ll hear that mantra a lot). Their employees are world-class storytellers, excellent communicators, “good eggs”, and—most of all—effective. 

Distribution and Delivery Team (D&D)

This role specifically focuses on the team that owns the syndication and distribution of their content, both internationally and internally. Additionally, this role covers the underlying platform micro-services and content API’s. This person will partner with the Product team to build world class services for both Engineering team, International partners and 3rd party partners.

  • You have been working with web technologies for 3-7 years.

  • You have experience writing clean, maintainable, production-grade code in a modern programming language (Golang, Python, PHP, Javascript, Java)

  • You are a strong problem solver who is always looking for solutions

  • You value testing your code and can implement unit and functional tests

  • You have applied experience and understanding with common software design patterns.

  • You are interested in every aspect of the stack from top to bottom (Backend, Frontend, Database, Infrastructure)

 

What will help you succeed

  • Experience in the Engineering field writing code. (Go, Javascript)

  • Experience using agile development processes.

  • MongoDB

  • Comfortable working with Databases (SQL, No-SQL)

  • Have experience working with APIs and REST/CRUD interfaces.

  • Have worked with JSON/ATOM/RSS/XML data.
