Senior Azure Engineer
At Degreed, we’re on a journey to modernize and scale our platform—and we’re looking for a Senior Azure Engineer/Architect who thrives in Azure environments and brings hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD and Terraform. This is a high-impact role where you’ll help lead key initiatives to improve reliability, performance, and developer experience as we continue migrating toward container-based services.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform.
Help define and improve our cloud infrastructure on Azure.
Work closely with engineering teams to streamline deployments and build robust CI/CD pipelines.
Support our shift toward containerization (e.g. Kubernetes).
Collaborate with teams across the business to support growth, scalability, and automation.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support uptime and stability.
What We’re Looking For
Hands-on experience in software engineering, including coding and technical problem-solving
Strong experience with Azure cloud infrastructure in a production environment.
Solid knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools.
Extensive hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem
Expertise with the latest CI/CD tools such as GHA, Azure Devops, ArgoCD, FluxCD etc.
Well-versed in the principles of cloud security, with a practical mindset toward secure infrastructure design.
Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously with distributed teams.
A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
8+ years of relevant experience in Azure Architecture, DevOps/SRE or similar roles.

We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The total pay range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
