What you’d be doing in this role In this role, you’ll be the technical backbone of Canva’s internal AI platforms — proactively leading system architecture, integration, and innovation across tools like ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, Gemini and Glean. You’ll partner deeply with business stakeholders to turn complex challenges into AI-driven solutions that unlock real impact. From mentoring teammates to owning custom builds, you’ll be the go-to expert helping us deliver scalable, secure, and meaningful AI experiences to every Canvanaut, at the right time, in the right way.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

• Leading the design, build and implementation of automation and AI-driven solutions to solve meaningful business challenges

• Owning the system architecture and administration of Canva’s internal AI platforms, including advanced configuration and integrations

• Troubleshooting complex issues and managing vendor relationships to ensure a seamless user experience

• Serving as a subject matter expert for one or more AI platforms, driving internal enablement and knowledge sharing

• Identifying performance and infrastructure improvements to ensure reliability and scalability

• Partnering with business analysts, legal, security and privacy teams to drive compliant, user-centred AI adoption

• Contributing to team capability through mentoring, documentation and sprint processes

• Staying ahead of the curve on AI developments, evaluating new features and industry trends to inform roadmap planning

About the team The Internal AI Solutions team sits within the Technology Experience group in our IT Supergroup. Our mission is to enable every Canvanaut to harness the full potential of AI tools, and we do this by supporting and evolving our internal AI assistant platforms like Glean, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude and Gemini. It’s a highly collaborative and rapidly growing team where every day presents opportunities to shape how AI is adopted across Canva.
