Renewals Manager - Public Sector
We're looking for a results-driven Renewal Manager to join our high-velocity team and own the renewal process for our US Public Sector, State and Local, and Education customer base. What You'll Do
Own the Renewal Process: Proactively execute end-to-end customer communications to ensure customer’s success and adoption of their investment is occurring early in their subscription
Manage and Identify Risk: Identify opportunity and customer-level risk early and coordinate mitigation strategies by collaborating with extended sales team
Drive Revenue Retention: Maximize customer retention rates through effective sales techniques over the phone, video, and email while minimizing customer churn and contraction, produce and deliver quotes urgently
Act as a Strategic Partner: Understand and align customers' business needs and goals to approach the customer consultatively to improve retention and customer’s success
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Sales and Customer Success Managers on renewal strategy and plans, leveraging customer analytics and metrics
Navigate the Ecosystem Channel: Liaise with our distributor and reseller community to ensure quotes, POs, and order forms are accurately completed for internal deal approval
Manage Competing Priorities: Juggle multiple priorities simultaneously across phone calls, meetings, emails, direct messaging, and urgent escalations—thriving where others might feel overwhelmed
What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience managing renewals and customer success processes specifically within US Public Sector, State and Local, and/or Education
Proven track record of driving renewals with predictability and delivering to targeted gross retention rates
Experience managing customer relationships in similar roles (customer success, renewal management, business development, or software sales)
Strong communication skills across phone, video, and written channels
Experience with utilizing Salesforce, GSuite and quoting systems
Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Driven self-starter ready to make an immediate impact with minimal hand-holding. We expect you to be productive and contributing within 30 days
Preferred:
Experience in the federal reseller/channel business
Located in the DC/VA/MD area
The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of the United States only. This range is intended to reflect the role's base salary rate in locations throughout the US. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, alignment with market data, and geographic location. The base salary range does not include any bonuses, equity, or benefits. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.
