As a Recruiter at Lumos, you’ll play a foundational role in building the team that builds Lumos. Your work will directly shape our product, our culture, and our ability to scale with excellence. You'll partner closely with hiring managers and the leadership team to understand talent needs, drive pipeline, and deliver an unforgettable candidate experience, all while shaping recruiting systems that are designed to scale.
You’ll own your roles from end to end. Beyond execution, you’ll contribute to the continuous improvement of our recruiting strategy, processes, and storytelling — helping Lumos become a magnet for exceptional talent.
✨ Your Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Ownership: Lead full-cycle recruiting across tech and non-tech roles, from intake to close, including sourcing, screening, coordinating, and candidate communication.
Trusted Partner to Hiring Managers: Serve as a consultative partner to hiring managers. Help them scope roles, align interview panels, and identify opportunities to improve the candidate funnel.
Pipeline Generation: Source and engage top-tier passive talent through creative outreach and storytelling. Deliver ≥50% self-sourced pipeline on priority roles.
Process Builder: Help standardize recruiting processes with interview kickoffs, debriefs, feedback loops, and improve them over time based on what’s working and what’s not.
Candidate Experience Champion: Deliver a candidate experience that reflects Lumos’ culture: thoughtful, respectful, human, and warm — even for candidates we don’t hire.
DEI Advocacy: Embed equity into sourcing, screening, and interviewing processes. Source from diverse communities and advocate for structured, fair evaluation practices.
🙌 What We’re Looking For
4-6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience across technical and non-technical roles
Have worked at a smaller, high-growth company where you wore many hats and helped shape early recruiting processes
Are comfortable with one-off or niche searches and can tailor your approach to each
Proactive about building candidate pipelines, not waiting for inbound
Bonus points: familiarity with tools like Ashby, Greenhouse .Gem, and ModernLoop

💰 Pay Range
$135,000 - $185,000 (Note that this range is a good faith estimate of likely pay for this role; upon hire, the pay may differ due to skill and/or level of experience.)

You’ll own top-priority roles across Engineering, Product, Design, GTM, or G&A and have real influence in how we scale from 120 Alchemists today to 150+ and beyond. You’ll also play a key role in building the systems, playbooks, and best practices that help us recruit with heart, speed, and precision - now and at scale.
