About Us

Osmind is a technology, services, and data company focused exclusively on psychiatry. Mental health disorders are one of the leading causes of death worldwide and are tied to shortening lifespans. Yet, we have cause for hope: there have been developments in new psychiatric medications since the first FDA approval in 1954, such as new treatments like ketamine, Spravato, and neuromodulation. Now, there is a growing movement among clinicians, patients, and researchers to close the gap between this scientific innovation and better real-world care.

At Osmind, we serve a network of 800+ independent psychiatry practices across 49 states. We help these clinics effectively provide high-quality care, scale as businesses, and contribute to research with our purpose-built EHR, software solutions, clinician community, and managed services. Our providers are at the forefront of psychiatry, offering innovative interventions and treating some of the highest acuity patients in the country.

Osmind is a San Francisco–based public benefit corporation backed by top investors including DFJ Growth, Future Ventures, General Catalyst, and Y Combinator.

Overview of the Role

The RCM Account Manager at Osmind is responsible for owning the financial performance and billing success of a portfolio of interventional psychiatry clinics. Acting as the primary liaison between clinics and internal billing teams, you’ll help translate RCM performance and identify potential gaps causing revenue issues with clinic stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clinical and administrative stakeholders. It is a high-impact, client-facing position critical to delivering a best-in-class experience and maximizing collections for our partner practices.

Responsibilities

  • Account Ownership

  • Serve as the day-to-day RCM liaison for assigned clinics

  • Own client communication regarding billing performance, denial trends, payer issues, and operational questions

  • Establish trust and strong relationships with clinic stakeholders, including practice owners, clinicians, and administrative staff

  • Revenue Performance Management

  • Monitor and report on KPIs, including net collection rate (NCR), days in AR, clean claims rate, and first pass resolution rate

  • Identify and escalate issues with coding, documentation, front desk, or other clinic operations processes that impact revenue

  • Lead monthly performance reviews with clients

  • Workflow Optimization & Collaboration

  • Work with internal product and engineering teams to suggest improvements to EHR & practice management and automation tooling

  • Partner with internal billing operations to triage and resolve denials, rejections, and underpayments

  • Drive continuous improvement in internal SOPs and handoffs between RCM, implementation, and success

Required Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in RCM, billing account management, or healthcare operations

  • Strong understanding of the full revenue cycle (charge capture, coding, submission, AR follow-up, appeals, etc.)

  • Experience with behavioral health billing and KPI fluency

  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in using systems like EHRs, practice management systems, and billing platforms

  • Excellent communication, organization, and client-facing skills; ability to translate complex RCM topics to stakeholders unfamiliar with billing

  • A patient-first mindset with a passion for improving clinician workflows and patient outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple clients or projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with interventional psychiatry billing or clinic operations

  • Direct experience working in a behavioral health private practice in roles such as practice manager, operations manager, and billing manager

  • Experience with other parts of the clinic's operational workflows, such as patient acquisition, scheduling, etc.

$75,000 - $123,000 a year
