About Us

At Qualio, we're revolutionizing how life science teams bring life-saving products to market through our innovative quality management platform. Our platform is trusted by hundreds of cutting-edge companies, from computational biology pioneers to leaders in mRNA vaccine development.

The Qualio team is all-remote, and currently distributed across North America, Europe and Australia.

What’s the opportunity?

We're seeking an exceptional Principal People Business Partner to drive strategic people initiatives across our global Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) organization. As a senior IC leader, you'll combine thoughtful program management, international HR expertise, and AI-forward thinking to create meaningful impact across the company.

As part of a collaborative four-person team, you'll partner directly with our VP of People Operations in this high-visibility role. Primarily supporting our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) organization, this position offers the unique opportunity to apply your specialized knowledge of Irish and US labor law across our international operations.

What will I be doing?

Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Program & Project Management - Guide end-to-end delivery of people initiatives across the employee lifecycle, from planning through post-mortem analysis. Manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional stakeholders (including external partners) while documenting learnings and fostering continuous improvement.

  • Global EPD Partnership - Serve as a trusted advisor to Engineering, Product, and Design leaders across multiple regions, thoughtfully navigating cultural nuances and country-specific employment laws to support organizational health and performance.

  • AI-Enhanced People Operations - Champion the use of AI tools to elevate HR effectiveness, from predictive workforce analytics and automated insights to enhanced employee engagement tracking and program optimization.

  • Employee Relations & Culture - Support employee relations matters across our international team with cultural sensitivity and sound judgment. Bring knowledge of global ER practices and the curiosity to learn country-specific approaches when entering new regions.

  • Leadership Talent Acquisition - Partner on recruiting for director+ roles through JD development, sourcing strategy, and hiring team consultation.

What skills do I need?

  • 10+ years progressive HR experience with significant time supporting global, remote-first EPD organizations.

  • Strong program/project management capabilities: Budget ownership, stakeholder management beyond your organization, consistent delivery, and structured learning documentation.

  • International HR expertise and cultural agility: Experience navigating employment practices and cultural differences across multiple countries (US and Ireland required; additional regions a plus). Comfort researching and adapting to new country requirements with curiosity and diligence.

  • AI-forward mindset: Active user of AI tools for workforce analytics, predictive modeling, process automation, and program enhancement—with clear examples of how you've applied these in practice.

  • Understanding of EPD team dynamics, technical talent needs, and product development lifecycles.

  • Experience with HR analytics platforms and data visualization tools.

  • SHRM-CP, GPHR, or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Life sciences or regulated industry experience a plus but not required.

What should my approach be?

  • Blend data-driven insights with human judgment and empathy

  • Take ownership of outcomes while building collaborative partnerships across all levels

  • Embrace ambiguity and adapt quickly in a dynamic startup environment

  • Stay intellectually curious about emerging HR practices, technology, and cultural contexts

  • Communicate with clarity and cultural sensitivity across global teams

Benefits

  • 100% remote

  • Competitive salary

  • Matching 401k

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits

  • Dependent & Health FSA, Short/Long Term Disability, Basic & Voluntary Life Insurance

  • Unlimited PTO policy

  • Company allowance for home office supplies

  • 12 weeks paid parental leave

  • Opportunity to make a difference through helping life-saving products get to market

A note to candidates:

Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every single one of the qualifications as described in a job description. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive company and we are most interested in finding the BEST candidate for the job. That candidate may be one who comes from a less traditional background, and that’s okay. We would strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don't believe you meet every one of the qualifications described.
