Guidehouse is seeking a clinically experienced and operations-savvy Physician to serve as the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Implementation Lead. This role is critical to supporting a multi-year, government-sponsored initiative to modernize healthcare delivery through the deployment of a comprehensive EHR system across hospital networks. The ideal candidate will bring deep clinical insight, a strong understanding of hospital operations, and a passion for improving care delivery through technology.

This initiative will integrate services across public health, behavioral health, corrections, and pharmacy. The Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in delivering a unified, interoperable EHR system that improves care delivery, operational efficiency, and compliance.

What You Will Do:
Serve as the clinical lead for EHR implementation projects, representing the voice of physicians and clinical staff throughout the design, deployment, and optimization phases.
Collaborate closely with hospital leadership, clinical teams, IT professionals, and government stakeholders to ensure the EHR solution aligns with operational workflows and clinical best practices.
Lead clinical workflow assessments and gap analyses to identify areas impacted by EHR adoption and recommend mitigation strategies.
Translate clinical requirements into system specifications and work with technical teams to ensure accurate configuration and integration.
Facilitate change management efforts, including clinician engagement, training strategy development, and adoption monitoring.
Act as a liaison between Guidehouse, hospital systems, and the sponsoring government agency to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and outcomes.
Monitor implementation progress, identify risks, and provide strategic guidance to ensure successful deployment and long-term sustainability.
Organizational Impact and Communication
Leads cross-functional teams across clinical, operational, and technical domains.
Communicates complex clinical strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
Ensures alignment with Commonwealth’s enterprise architecture and governance standards.
Leadership and Talent Management
Provides mentorship, performance feedback, and escalation support across all clinical workstreams.
Coordinates with PMO, Technical Lead, and Revenue Cycle Lead to ensure delivery milestones are met.
What You Will Need:
Minimum 10 years of experience in clinical operations or clinical informatics, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
MD or DO with active clinical experience (board certification preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in large-scale EHR implementations, including at least 3 Oracle Health (Cerner) projects.
Proven track record of leading or supporting large-scale EHR deployments in hospital or health system settings.
Proven experience implementing Oracle Health PowerChart in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
Deep understanding of acute care and ambulatory workflows, including documentation, order entry, medication administration, and care coordination.
Experience with public sector healthcare delivery, including DPH and DMH facilities.
Familiarity with clinical documentation standards, regulatory compliance, and patient safety protocols.
Strong knowledge of clinical system optimization, dynamic documentation, and provider adoption strategies.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Board Certification.
Experience with federal/state EHR implementations, including VA or DoD projects.
Experience with Oracle Health Data Intelligence (formerly HealtheIntent) for clinical analytics and reporting.
Experience managing clinical transformation in multi-entity, multi-specialty environments.
Deep experience with Oracle Health (Cerner), MEDITECH, and other EHR platforms across complex, multi-entity implementations
Proven success in leading cutover planning, mock go-lives, and dress rehearsals in heterogeneous environments
Familiarity with state-operated pharmacy services, correctional health, and behavioral health workflows.
Experience working with government agencies or public health initiatives is a plus.
The annual salary range for this position is $226,000.00-$376,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
