Marketing Research & Data Analyst

Location: Remote (U.S.) Compensation: $76,000$88,000 per year, depending on experience

Ten Speed is a fully remote content marketing agency that helps B2B SaaS companies grow through high-impact SEO and content strategy. Were hiring a Marketing Research & Data Analyst to lead daytoday analysis, own recurring reporting, and help stand up the lightweight systems that make our work repeatable.

This is a full-time remote role open to candidates in IL, MI, MN, NC, FL, TX, CO, or ID. Salary range: $76,000$88,000, plus strong benefits including 20 PTO days, wellness stipends, 401k match, and a professional development budget.

If you're analytical, data-driven, and passionate about leveraging insights and data-driven storytelling to drive real business outcomes, wed love to meet you.

Role Overview

This midlevel analyst splits time across three areas:

  • Original research and insights that fuel content and PR for Ten Speed.

  • Monthly reporting and analysis for client accounts.

  • Data support for client projects that include surveys or firstparty datasets.

You will use SQL and modern BI tools, and you will apply AI responsibly to speed cleaning, exploration, and narrative drafting. This is an individual contributor role with room to grow.

What You Will Do

Over time and throughout each month, this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Build and maintain monthly client dashboards and KPIs across GA4, GSC, HubSpot or other CRMs, and SEO tools.

  • Run scoped ad hoc investigations that answer specific questions on content, GEO/SEO, and conversion performance.

  • Clean, join, and QA datasets; write efficient SQL queries and simple views that support repeatable reporting.

  • Support original research for content and PR by wrangling data, drafting charts, and surfacing headline findings.

  • Assist with survey projects end-to-end: questionnaire review, response cleaning, basic weighting, significance tests, and clear summaries.

  • Draft concise monthly narratives that explain drivers, anomalies, and next actions for stakeholders.

  • Publish selfserve dashboards in Agency Analytics, Looker Studio, or similar, and keep metric definitions and methods documented.

  • Help maintain light data plumbing under guidance: connectors, source checks, naming conventions, and UTM hygiene.

  • Use AI tools to speed SQL, EDA, deduplication, and firstpass summaries while following privacy and quality guardrails.

  • Document methods and templates so work is reproducible, and coach teammates on basic data literacy.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years in marketing analytics, market research, or adjacent fields in B2B or SaaS, with examples of published analyses or researchbacked content.

  • Strong SQL and working knowledge of Python or R for analysis and charting.

  • Experience with GA4, GSC, and a modern BI tool such as Looker Studio, plus comfort stitching data from CRM and SEO platforms.

  • Practical statistics: sampling, confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, and a sense for when simple beats complex.

  • Clear written communication that turns analysis into executiveready insights, not just dashboards.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with HubSpot reporting, Ahrefs or Semrush, and similar SEO/website analytics tools.

  • Experience with dbt basics, Fivetran or Census, and GitHub for versioning notebooks or queries.

  • Data storytelling or data journalism examples that led to coverage, links, or meaningful engagement.

  • Comfort designing or improving lightweight processes and documentation.

  • Thoughtful use of LLMs to improve speed and quality with transparent prompts and checks.

Tools You May Use Here

SQL, Python notebooks, BigQuery, Looker Studio, GA4, GSC, HubSpot, Ahrefs or Semrush, Amplitude, GitHub, dbt (basic), Fivetran, Census, Excel or Google Sheets.
