Manager - Program Management (Vendor Operations)
We are looking for an experienced Vendor Operations manager to own and scale large-scale third-party operations in support of Reddit’s growing business. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence across vendor partnerships, ensuring strong performance against SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards while building scalable, efficient workflows. The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven people manager who thrives in cross-functional environments and can translate complex business needs into high-impact operational solutions.
Candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone (EST) are preferred.
Responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end performance of vendor operations, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality metrics.
Develop and execute strategies to scale vendor capacity, headcount, and tools to meet Reddit's growing business needs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor partners at the operational level, leading regular business reviews, QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), and critical escalations.
Identify bottlenecks, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and implement best practices across all vendor-supported workflows to maximize efficiency and quality.
Manage annual SOW renewals, ensuring alignment to operating expenses and project roadmaps. Track vendor budgets, manage invoicing processes, and ensure effective utilization of resources.
Translate internal needs into scalable vendor solutions and represent vendor operations in high-level forums to ensure cross-functional roadmaps align with operational realities.
Lead, mentor, and coach a team of FTE Vendor Operations Managers, fostering a high-performing and engaging work environment.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (e.g., Product, Engineering, Policy, Finance) to ensure vendor operations are aligned with Reddit's product changes and policy updates.
Oversee internal Quality Assurance (QA) programs related to vendor output and drive corrective action plans with vendor partners.
Develop and maintain operational reports and dashboards, providing timely and accurate insights into vendor performance to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of professional experience in Operations or Vendor Management
3+ years of experience directly managing a team of direct reports
Proven experience managing large-scale third-party vendor operations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting (e.g., strong in SQL, advanced Excel/GSheets, or familiarity with BI tools like Tableau/Looker)
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
