Manager - FP&A and Strategy
About the Role Eleanor Health is seeking a Manager, FP&A & Strategy to play a critical role in connecting financial performance with operational execution and people strategy. This role will be a strategic partner to Operations, People Operations/HR, and senior leadership – ensuring Eleanor Health’s financial plans, headcount strategies, and resource allocation decisions support our mission and drive organizational success.
This position reports directly to the Director, FP&A and will be a key contributor to the financial planning function, responsible for delivering insights and recommendations that influence decision-making across the organization.
The ideal candidate brings strong financial planning expertise, exceptional business partnering skills, and demonstrated experience translating complex information into clear, actionable recommendations. What You'll Do Financial Forecasting & Analysis
Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for assigned business units, with a focus on revenue, gross margin, and operational cost structures.
Develop and maintain financial models that support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and organizational decision-making.
Analyze performance trends, identify drivers of financial results, and communicate insights to operational and executive stakeholders.
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for business partners and leadership.
Strategic Partnership & Cross-Functional Leadership
Serve as the primary finance partner for Operations and People Operations/HR, fostering strong relationships built on trust, insight, and collaboration.
Participate in operational leadership discussions to provide financial and strategic guidance.
Support strategic initiatives, market evaluations, organizational design discussions, and business case development.
Present financial insights and recommendations in a clear, compelling manner to cross-functional and senior leaders.
Support compensation modeling in partnership with People Operations.
Ensure staffing plans align with financial targets, hiring timelines, and organizational goals.
Monitor key operational KPIs and translate insights into financial impact.
Maintain visibility into needs across markets and departments, proactively identifying gaps or risks.
Reporting, Insights & Decision Support
Provide actionable insights that inform operational changes, resource planning, and organizational priorities.
Ensure financial information shared with partners is accurate, timely, and aligned with broader FP&A processes.
Support the development and refinement of dashboards, reports, and tools that enhance visibility into financial performance.
Compliance & Data Integrity
Ensure financial and processes remain compliant with internal policies, operational workflows, and healthcare regulatory standards.
Maintain high standards of data accuracy and confidentiality, including adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
5+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, or strategic planning roles.
Demonstrated success in financial modeling, forecasting, and business partnership.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and guide operational and HR leaders.
Experience contributing to cross-functional strategy, organizational planning, or operational improvement initiatives.
Proficiency with financial planning tools, Excel/Sheets, and common reporting platforms.
Preferred
Healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar FP&A tools.
Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state healthcare operations.
Prior experience partnering closely with HR and Operations.
Background in value-based care or behavioral health environments.
Compensation & Benefits
The total target compensation range for this position is $115,000-130,000. The actual compensation offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
