About the role

As a Manager for Application Development, your mission is to lead and empower a high-performing engineering team dedicated to delivering modern, scalable solutions on Google Cloud. You will guide a group of talented full stack engineers, ensuring they have the support and direction needed to build exceptional solutions for customers across diverse industries. You’ll be overseeing the delivery of engagements, working closely with delivery teams, project managers, and customers to ensure technical excellence, on-time execution, and outstanding client experiences. Along the way, you will get to:

  • Oversee project teams to ensure the successful delivery of client outcomes, actively supporting issue resolution and managing escalations as needed.

  • Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent, conducting regular 1:1s to support career growth, performance, and overall team wellbeing.

  • Collaborate with the Presales team to review proposals and statements of work, ensuring commitments are realistic, achievable, and aligned with engineering capabilities.

  • Engage with customer executives when required to align expectations, clarify objectives, and maintain strong relationships.

  • Participate in AI-focused initiatives to help expand and evolve the practice in alignment with growing market demand.

  • Provide technical and professional mentorship across areas such as product development, UI/UX, QA, and documentation.

  • Establish, document, and scale best practices for consistent application across multiple customer engagements.

What we’re looking for

  • Required Credentials:

    • 7+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years in engineering management leading and developing technical teams, and 4+ years of hands-on software development experience.

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Required Qualifications: 

    • Proven experience leading, managing, and hiring high-performing engineering teams across multiple technical domains.

    • Strong understanding of Agile, Kanban, or similar delivery methodologies, with the ability to drive predictable, high-quality execution.

    • Solid software development background with exposure to full-stack development,

    • SDLC, and previous hands-on coding experience.

    • Familiarity with user experience (UX) principles and designing customer-centric solutions.

    • Excellent customer-facing communication skills

    • Experience delivering solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers.

    • Ability to drive engineering excellence through best practices, thought leadership, and continuous improvement.

    • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, with a willingness to collaborate with leadership to advance AI-driven initiatives within the practice.
