Legal Operations Manager
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Operations Manager to lead the implementation of a new legal technology platform. The role is delivery-focused: ensuring successful system rollout, data migration, and user adoption across the business within a defined 6 month period.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Implementation (initial phase)
Lead project management of the new legal tech platform rollout.
Coordinate with the vendor, IT, procurement, and the legal team to deliver successful implementation.
Oversee data migration, workflow design, template automation, and reporting setup.
Train and onboard legal team members, driving adoption and embedding best practice.
Deliver training and onboarding sessions to wider business.
Provide weekly progress updates to the General Counsel and stakeholders.
Longer-Term Legal Ops Responsibilities
Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks for the legal function.
Identify and execute process improvements across contracting, matter management, and risk/compliance workflows.
Manage vendor relationships and future legal tech enhancements.
Act as a business partner to the GC and senior leadership, providing operational insight and data-led recommendations.
Drive efficiency initiatives, knowledge management, and scalable processes as the company grows.
Troubleshoot adoption challenges and optimise workflows during rollout.
Skills and experience
Minimum 5 years of experience required in transition management and/or project management
Strong track record in implementing legal technology platforms.
Experience in legal operations within an in-house environment.
Skilled project manager, with change management and adoption expertise.
Strong communicator with the ability to influence at senior levels.
Strategic mindset: able to deliver both immediate transformation and longer-term operational improvements.
