Scopely is looking for a Lead Product Manager, Payments & Accounts (D2C) to join our Publishing team in our Culver City studio on a hybrid basis, or remotely within the US.

At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

What You Will Do

The Lead Product Manager, Payments & Accounts (D2C) will define and execute Scopely’s global strategy across Payments (primary focus) and Accounts (supporting focus).

On the Payments side, you’ll lead how millions of players transact across our games - bridging business strategy, platform requirements, and commercial optimization. You’ll architect a payments ecosystem that is scalable, flexible, and margin-optimized, directly contributing to Scopely’s D2C growth and profitability.

On the Accounts side, you’ll help shape the product strategy for Identity and Scopely Account capabilities that underpin direct player relationships. This includes connectivity across platforms and surfaces, social/community enablement, CRM and contactability foundations, and account-driven experiences that amplify the value of D2C payments and commerce.

You will partner closely with Platform and Game teams to:

  • Establish a direct player transaction and identity relationship

  • Deliver a seamless, trusted checkout and account experience

  • Unlock margin-maximized monetization and long-term player value across Scopely’s portfolio

What You’ll Do

Payments

  • Define the global payments vision and roadmap in alignment with Scopely’s D2C objectives

  • Develop a multi-year plan for Scopely’s Payments Gateway - vaulting, orchestration, routing, retries, and compliance

  • Collaborate with game team monetization and liveops leads to diagnose and improve payment funnel performance - payment channels, decline rates, retries, UX friction - with a focus on conversion and retention

  • Manage strategic relationships with payment vendors, ensuring best-in-class performance, margin efficiency improving processing economics and conversion rates

  • Design experiments to test pricing, methods, and payment sequencing across markets

  • Measure, monitor, and respond to payment KPIs such as auth rates, PSP cost, and chargebacks

  • Partner closely with the central platform team to translate business needs into roadmap priorities and scalable feature requirements

  • Align with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Fraud teams to ensure operational scalability and regulatory compliance

Accounts

  • Drive the product vision, roadmap, and multi-year strategy for Scopely Account, in close partnership with the Playgami platform team

  • Define foundational account capabilities that drive long-term player engagement, including identity/authentication, cross-platform connectivity, social features, third-party platforms, and player profiles

  • Contribute to the evolution of social and community features tied to accounts, supporting long-term engagement and player relationships and supporting CRM and contactability

  • Ensure account strategy aligns with and amplifies payments outcomes, including frictionless checkout, player trust, retention, and lifetime value

What We’re Looking For

  • 7-10+ years of product management experience in payments, fintech, or eCommerce, ideally within gaming or digital goods

  • Deep understanding of payment gateways, PSPs, tokenization, MoR frameworks, and global payment methods

  • Experience contributing to or owning account, identity, or platform-level product strategies that support cross-surface user experiences

  • Proven experience partnering with platform and game teams to shape payment infrastructure roadmaps

  • Demonstrated success in vendor management and commercial negotiations that drive margin improvement

  • Strong analytical and business mindset, capable of linking technical design to financial outcomes.

  • Technical fluency in APIs, payment routing, and orchestration concepts

  • Exceptional cross-functional influence and executive communication skills

Bonus Points

  • Experience with headless checkout, multi-PSP orchestration, or MoR-integration platforms

  • Familiarity with payments-related compliance standards (PCI-DSS, SCA, PSD2, AML/KYC)

  • Background in F2P gaming, liveops, or virtual economy monetization

At Scopely, we create games for everyone - and want to ensure that the people behind our games reflect that!   We are committed to creating a diverse, supportive work environment where everyone is treated with respect.
