About the Role
The Lead Producer, YouTube - The Science of Scaling (https://www.youtube.com/@ScienceofScaling) role is pivotal to our content strategy as video investment is a leading priority for our business. The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, business growth, entrepreneurship, and scaling challenges, with a proven track record of creating compelling video content.
You should be equally comfortable developing storylines, appearing on camera as a host/presenter, and managing an ambitious production calendar to maximize business impact. This person will guide scriptwriters, editors, and production staff while collaborating with our Audience Development and partners to grow our viewership and convert audience members into customers.
Key Responsibilities
Vision & Strategy: Implement and iterate on the creative vision for The Science of Scaling format
On-Camera Presence: Appear as on-camera talent and develop new opportunities for the channel
Production Leadership: Set high standards for production quality, working with the team to develop compelling episode editorial and regularly testing new formats
Content Innovation: Constantly test, learn, and iterate on winning content strategies—whether through new series segments, distribution approaches, or featured guests
Show Management: Work closely with the Supervising producer to drive show growth and optimize content performance
Team Leadership: Oversee production resources and foster a culture of excellence among the production team
Qualifications
Experience creating successful video content with demonstrated audience growth
5+ years of video production and YouTube experience
Strong on-camera presence and communication skills essential
Passion for business scaling topics and ability to translate complex concepts into engaging content
Deep understanding of video storytelling and content optimization
Exceptional collaboration, organization, and leadership abilities
Data-driven approach to content strategy, using metrics to inform creative decisions
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding audience growth targets
Ability to balance creative vision with operational efficiency
Flexible mindset with willingness to adapt based on audience feedback and performance data
Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
