Kubernetes & Nutanix Expert

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Kubernetes & Nutanix Expert to design, deploy, and optimize containerized environments while managing Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI). This role will focus on ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of enterprise workloads running on Kubernetes and Nutanix environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Kubernetes Administration: Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters (on-prem and cloud-based).

• Nutanix HCI Management: Configure and maintain Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, and Nutanix Files for optimized storage and compute performance.

• Containerization & Orchestration: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and Kubernetes networking/storage solutions.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate deployments using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.

• Storage & Networking: Optimize Nutanix storage solutions (NFS, iSCSI) and integrate with Kubernetes Persistent Volumes (PVs) and Persistent Volume Claims (PVCs).

• Security & Compliance: Apply best practices for securing Kubernetes workloads and Nutanix environments, including RBAC, network policies, and vulnerability management.

• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Utilize tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Nutanix Insights for proactive performance monitoring and issue resolution.

• Migration & Upgrades: Assist in workload migrations to Kubernetes and Nutanix-based environments and handle system upgrades seamlessly.

• Collaboration: Work with DevOps, cloud, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth operations and integration across platforms.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes (K8s) in production environments.

• 3+ years of experience with Nutanix infrastructure (AHV, AOS, Prism).

• Strong experience in containerization technologies (Docker, Helm, OpenShift).

• Hands-on experience with Nutanix Files, Volumes, and networking configurations.

• Expertise in scripting/automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Bash.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid cloud integration.

• Familiarity with security best practices, RBAC, and compliance frameworks.

• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Preferred Certifications (a plus but not required):

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

• Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)

• Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional (NCAP)

• Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
