As an Integrations Engineer on our Data Activation & Enablement team, you will ensure data is integrated, processed, and activated across multiple systems to create actionable insights and personalized customer experiences. You will work closely with teams across the organization—such as marketing, analytics, data science, product, sales, and customer success—to streamline data workflows, automate processes, and drive results through data-driven initiatives.
Your work will directly affect the company’s ability to understand its customers, respond to their needs, and deliver exceptional experiences. You'll help turn insights into actions, fueling personalized marketing campaigns, product innovations, and customer-centric strategies that ultimately lead to business growth and competitive advantage. Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Integrate data from various sources (e.g., CRM, transactional systems, marketing platforms) into central systems (e.g., Customer Data Platform or CDP).
Work with cross-functional teams to activate customer and business data across marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and other customer engagement platforms.
Ensure that data flows seamlessly between systems and is optimized for usage in marketing, sales, and customer experience initiatives.
Design and implement data pipelines that transform raw data into actionable insights, ensuring that data is cleaned, structured, and ready for analysis or activation.
Work with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data processing solutions.
Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability.
Automate data workflows to ensure that data is continuously updated, accurate, and available for real-time activation.
Implement scheduling and automation processes that reduce manual intervention and streamline data management tasks.
Utilize scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Apache Airflow) to optimize data processes.
Collaborate with marketing, product, sales, engineering, and customer success teams to understand their data needs and activate data across the right channels.
Help teams leverage customer data for personalized marketing campaigns, sales outreach, and customer service initiatives.
Provide technical support for teams using data activation platforms to ensure they can effectively leverage data for their needs.
Ensure that customer and business data is used in compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Implement data security best practices, including encryption, access control, and auditing.
Maintain data quality by monitoring data flows, identifying discrepancies, and addressing issues as they arise.
Monitor the performance of data activation workflows and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Analyze data workflows to identify bottlenecks, optimize performance, and improve overall system efficiency.
Regularly test data pipelines to ensure high availability and reliability of activated data.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data activation and integration.
Identify opportunities to improve the data activation infrastructure, recommending new tools or methodologies to enhance efficiency.
Evaluate new technologies, tools, and platforms that could help streamline data activation and improve business outcomes.

*Required:
3+ years of experience in data integration, data engineering, or data management, with a focus on data activation.
Experience with marketing technology stacks, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and data activation tools (e.g., Segment, BlueConic).
Hands-on experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data pipelines.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languages for data processing and automation.
Experience with data integration platforms (e.g., Fivetran, Stitch) and cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and data activation platforms (e.g., Segment, Tealium).
Knowledge of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for data governance.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot data issues across multiple platforms.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and sales teams.
Desired:
Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Adobe).
Experience with cloud-native services for data management and processing (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
Knowledge of data analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Google Analytics).
Location
This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.
Travel

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $114,600 - $143,300.
Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $121,400 - $151,700.
Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $134,800 - $168,500.
This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
