Inside Sales Lead Generation Specialist

This is a new and exciting opportunity to join the commercial sales team of a leading global life sciences company that advances patient health and powers clear, confident decisions through its diagnostics and drug development offerings.

As an Inside Sales Lead Generation Specialist, you will be responsible for expanding the Early Development customer base across the UK and Europe. The role is focused on prospecting, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth. Close collaboration with the Inside Sales team and Business Development Directors will be required as you introduce potential prospects and opportunities for their attention.

We are seeking an ambitious, self-motivated and collaborative individual with a high degree of communication skills who enjoys and is skilled in identifying potential customers, initiating contact, and nurturing leads through the sales funnel, utilising remote communication methods like phone, email, and online platforms.

This is a remote role based in the UK or Bulgaria.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and researching potential new customers through outbound prospecting (calls, emails, social media)

  • Maintaining a high volume of daily outreach to meet activity and pipeline goals

  • Crafting personalised, insightful outreach messages that resonate with target personas

  • Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to align messaging and campaigns / identify areas to target with prospecting

  • Meeting or exceeding quarterly lead generation and pipeline target

  • Demonstrating mastery of social selling techniques and digital tools to effectively engage clients across various channels, including sharing tailored information about Labcorp services via social media, webinars, conferences, and industry events

  • Driving joint targeting with aligned sales Business Development Directors and dedicated focused prospecting within aligned territory to support pipeline growth

  • Establishing rapport and trust with prospects through effective communication and by understanding client requirements

  • Providing ongoing information and support to prospects to move them through the sales funnel

  • Serving as a key resource and go-to person for the team for prospecting

  • Demonstrating expertise in utilising prospecting tools to optimise lead generation and engagement strategies

  • Collaborating effectively with Business Development Directors in business unit to develop and support territory plan

  • Effectively transferring leads and client information to Inside Sales Managers and act as a close partner to them to ease transition of opportunity. Work closely with other sales team members to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads and to contribute to overall sales strategies

  • Accurately recording all interactions with prospects in Salesforce.com to track progress and manage the sales pipeline

  • Expanding client requests, upselling for business unit

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life science or business field

Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in prospecting/lead generation, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector within CRO/Early Development/Pre-clinical or Clinical field

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written

  • Self-motivated and resilient with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively

  • Time management skills

  • Ability to build relationships and influence

  • I.T proficiency e.g Microsoft packages, Salesforce.com
