Human Resources Generalist
A growing, fast-paced organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join its team. This role will play a key part in supporting the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding and employee relations to benefits administration and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day HR operations across multiple functions including onboarding, benefits, payroll coordination, and HRIS updates.
Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on policies, benefits, and general HR matters.
Partner with managers to address employee relations issues and promote positive workplace culture.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Assist with HR projects such as performance reviews, compensation reviews, and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications:
3–5 years of HR experience in a generalist capacity.
Strong understanding of California employment laws and regulations.
Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, BambooHR, or similar).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
Start-up industry experience preferred.
$75,000 - $85,000 a year
