The Airbnb Community team treats hosts as partners by fostering connection, supporting their development and success, and incorporating their feedback in our product and policies.

The Host Communications Editorial team informs and educates hosts about new products, important policy changes, and other relevant information to provide support at every stage of their journey.

The Difference You Will Make:

  • Lead cross-team editorial projects from idea to launch, creating engaging content that supports Airbnb’s business priorities and the host experience

  • Pioneer new content frameworks and formats that drive adoption and outcomes

  • Define and uphold content principles, content systems, messaging frameworks, and style guides that scale globally

  • Bring an audience-first approach and serve as a trusted writing expert and advocate for hosts

  • Communicate efficiently and partner with strategists and cross-functional teams to define content objectives and editorial approach

  • Build alignment and drive consensus with cross-functional stakeholders, inducing product, legal, and policy teams, on content recommendations

  • Collaborate with marketing, UX writing, and Help Center teams to ensure a consistent and singular Airbnb voice

  • Interview hosts, product teams, and other stakeholders

  • Leverage analytics to understand reach, engagement, and host outcomes, and drive continuous content improvement

Your Expertise:

  • 10+ years of writing experience in marketing, communications, UX writing,  or content design, preferably on in-house teams at global brands

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content

  • Experience working on UX-focused product writing and proficiency in Figma preferred

  • Solid understanding of user research methodologies, A/B testing, and experimentation to inform creative solutions preferred

  • Demonstrated success working with and presenting to executive teams

  • Proven ability to anticipate and influence business challenges, influence senior stakeholders, and align editorial strategy with product roadmap

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously

  • Experience managing end-to-end content production, including coordinating with other teams

  • Creative thinker and self-starter with a strong bias for action
