Global Senior Leave of Absence Program Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Global Sr LOA Program Manager to lead and scale our Global Leave of Absence (LOA)  and Workplace Accommodation programs, as well as spearhead our wellness and worker’s compensation programs. In this role, you will design, manage, and optimize our leave and accommodation strategies, ensuring compliance with global regulations, while delivering a best-in-class employee experience.

You will partner with key stakeholders including HR Business Partners, Legal, Payroll, Equity, as well as external vendors to ensure efficient, compliant, and employee-centric processes across our global workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership & Strategy

    • Own the global strategy and execution of the LOA and Workplace Accommodation programs.

    • Evaluate, refine, and scale policies and processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational excellence across countries and regions.

    • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments globally to ensure proactive compliance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Collaborate closely with Legal, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Equity, as well as local experience teams to champion wellness, maintain alignment and implement process improvements.

    • Partner with vendors and third-party administrators to ensure high-quality case management and support services.

    • Advocate for the best employee experience possible during employee leaves and accommodations

    • Champion a compassionate and inclusive approach to leave and accommodation processes.

    • Act as a senior point of escalation for complex or high-risk leave and accommodation cases.

    • Partner with cross-functional teams to build manager training, engagement and proactive leave resources.

  • Reporting & Analytics

    • Develop and track key metrics to assess program performance, compliance, and employee satisfaction.

    • Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership and make data-driven recommendations.

    • Build and implement dashboards for up-to-date data and self-serve resources.

  • Policy Development

    • Work cross-functionally developing policies alignment to Reddit’s most important risks, compliance, regulatory, and legal obligations

    • Identify, assess, challenge status quo and address process improvements in relation to policy development methodologies

    • Maintain working knowledge of compliance policy topics, business processes and applicable laws to stay current to changing global regulations. 

    • Review and implement country specific handbook updates

  • Change Management & Communication

    • Drive change initiatives and communication strategies related to leave and accommodation updates.

    • Educate managers and employees on program resources and responsibilities.

    • Proactively communicate specific milestones of employee leaves

Qualifications:

  • 8–10+ years of experience managing LOA and/or accommodation programs, preferably at a global scale.

  • Strong knowledge of global leave laws (including federal and state laws in the US and international laws such as FMLA, ADA, CFRA, WAPFML, PFL, GDPR, etc.) and accommodation requirements.

  • Proven experience in program management and scaling processes in high-growth or matrixed environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently at a senior level and influence without authority.

  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working with leave tracking HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and leave vendor management platforms (Sparrow, Unum, Disclo etc).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CEBS, CPDM, SHRM-SCP, ADA Coordinator Certification) a plus.

  • Previous experience within HRBP function.

  • Familiar with the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) Network

  • Prior experience designing equitable leave programs supporting diverse and international populations.

  • Workday familiarity

  • Tech background
