HubSpot is a rapidly growing publicly traded technology company that has organically grown revenue from just under $100 million at the time of our IPO in 2014 to close to $1.3 billion in 2021. 

With top-line revenue growth and an increase in the absolute dollar value of expenditures expected for years to come, we are looking to hire a Global Procurement Category Manager to assist our Procure to Pay team in building out a global procurement strategy and centralized function that will scale with the growth of the Company. 

The Global Procurement Category Manager - Marketing, Events, & Travel will interface and collaborate with internal stakeholders and externally with vendors to negotiate Global Procurement related Contracts, Mutual Non-Disclosures, Master Services Agreements, and Statement of Works in a centralized Procurement model. The goal is to consolidate the supply base, drive and coordinate the review, negotiation and administration of all company Procurement Contracts, including marketing and general services, partner, contractor, vendor, and other corporate agreements. Beyond traditional procurement, this individual will serve as a strategic thought leader, proactively collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide insights that holistically inform business decisions, shape budget planning, and anticipate future needs to drive overall company success. In addition, this role will be integral to successfully implementing and launching a Contract Lifecycle Management tool (CLM). This is a role within P2P where you will have the opportunity to build something and make a lasting impact in driving value for our US and International teams. 

The Day to Day 

  • Provide global strategy and support for Procurement contracts administration, including managing, drafting, redlining, negotiating and finalizing company agreements. Act as a liaison between internal and external customers to efficiently drive the contract review and approval process to completion. 

  • Leads cross functional teams through negotiations, helps the business owner determine scope and drives the entire negotiation process. 

  • Solid knowledge of contract language standards, Statement Of Works and negotiation experience, develops communication plans to keep stakeholders informed of negotiation progress. 

  • Manage and maintain all contracts, contract policies and procedures and document tracking and reporting requirements. 

  • Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities.

  • Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers reviewing opportunities to achieve savings. 

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly metric reports. 

  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships through collaborative communications. 

  • Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous and business improvements. Customer centric. 

  • Serve as travel subject matter expert for Egencia.

  • Serve as subject matter expert, for ServiceNow, Productiv, and Ironclad. 

  • Ensure that team SLA’s and metrics are being met, and that work is completed with a focus on accuracy and expediency. 

Your Expertise and Passion 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 8+ years related contract work experience. 

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate contract concepts effectively across all levels of the organization. 

  • International experience is required. Previous experience with a SaaS technology company is highly desirable. 

  • Strong understanding of contracting, software licensing and intellectual property rights and principles. Cloud/SaaS subscription arrangements and corporate agreements knowledge a plus. 

  • Working knowledge of a Contract Lifecycle Management tool. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and the ability to develop close working relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external customers.

  • Superior organizational and project management skills and attention to detail.

  • Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to effectively multi-task, reprioritize and work proactively and independently to meet deadlines and drive agreements to conclusion. 

  • Contract negotiations are required. 

  • Strong customer focus, a passion for producing high-quality work. 

  • Has working knowledge of commonly-used procurement concepts, practices, and procedures. 

  • Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown. 

  • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures for the E2E P2P process. 

  • Strong analytical, change management, task/project management and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment where flexibility is imperative.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Excellent time and project management skills – can coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a high-paced business culture. 

  • Computer literate, Coupa, Netsuite with advanced MS Office and Google Suite knowledge.

  • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures for the E2E P2P process.

 

Cash compensation range: 111500-178400 USD Annually

 

Pay & Benefits

The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
