Ads is the fuel that powers Reddit’s mission. For the Creative Management team, our goal is to uplevel and expand the core functionality related to creating and editing ad creatives seen across Reddit. It is important that our advertisers are able to efficiently and effectively create, adjust, share, and measure their creatives like images, headline copy, and videos in the most intuitive way possible.
This Frontend Engineer will join a team that builds new products on Reddit Ads and also support other teams building their products on top of our platform. We expect our engineers to take ownership and have pride in the work and support we provide!
Responsibilities:
Supporting the Reddit Ads platform (ads.reddit.com)
Dive deep into the ads platform, be hands on with Creative Management
Building a UI that advertisers will use to manage their creatives and assets
Delivering a user experience that’s intuitive for our advertisers as they navigate how to build ads efficiently
Have a voice in how the future of Reddit ads evolves
Technologies used on the team include:
Languages: Typescript, Go, Python
Frameworks: React, Thrift, Baseplate, Kafka
Datastores: Postgres, Cassandra, Druid, Redis, BigQuery
Tools: Kubernetes, Argo, Docker
In this role, you'll be expected to be executing mid-size projects on their own. You will take ambiguous problems, design a solution and independently be able to deliver it. Their core capabilities are to do a lot of coding, code reviews and documenting their work.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a software engineer
2+ years in frontend engineering
Able to take complete ownership of a feature or project
Preferred: Experience in the analytics, data visualization, or ads space. Experience partnering with product managers and designers
