About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial/Data Analyst to join our client, an e-commerce food brand. In this role, you will provide insights that drive profitability, growth, and operational efficiency. You will analyze performance metrics, optimize pricing and promotions, track unit economics, and build dashboards to guide decision-making at both strategic and tactical levels. We strongly value attention to detail, data cleanliness, ability to show and explain mathematical work, and clear communication. Responsibilities
Build and maintain financial models (P&L, cash flow, unit economics, and cohort analysis) to support business decisions
Analyze sales, marketing, and customer data to identify growth drivers, churn risks, and cost-saving opportunities
Conduct deep dives into metrics like acquisition costs (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and contribution margin by sales channel and SKU
Evaluate new product launches and go-to-market strategies from a financial and data-driven perspective
Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor product, channel, and customer-level profitability
Conduct variance analysis against budget, forecast, and actual performance
Support monthly/quarterly reporting for leadership and investors
Present data and findings to company leadership in a clear and concise manner
Collaborate with internal teams to create SOPs and improve existing processes
Perform ad hoc administrative, business operations, and special projects tasks as needed
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a relevant field
3+ years of experience with Excel/Google Sheets and SQL; experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar)
Deep experience with e-commerce sales platforms like Shopify, Amazon, ERPs, and similar
Prior experiencein financial analysis, data analytics, or business intelligence (preferably in e-commerce, CPG, or food industry) is a plus
Professional fluency in English with excellent written, reading, and speaking skills
Access to a laptop/desktop with reliable and fast Internet connection
Ability to work in a US time zone, Monday to Friday (8 hours per day)
Previous experience working the overnight shift
