Job Description
The Engineering Manager for the CDX Platform team will lead the development of Pismo’s Control Center, a corporate web application that enables clients to manage and configure the products they’ve contracted. This role demands a strong focus on security, scalability, and reliability, as the team is responsible for critical platform components including authentication, authorization, audit logs, dual approval, and structural integrity of the Control Center. The ideal candidate will combine technical depth with leadership skills to guide the team through complex challenges and deliver secure, high-quality solutions.
What You'll Do
Lead and mentor a team of engineers focused on platform security and configuration capabilities.
Hire and onboard technical talent aligned with team goals and company culture.
Own the technical vision and roadmap for the Control Center’s core services.
Collaborate with product and design teams to align technical solutions with client needs.
Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, code quality, and system performance.
Monitor and guide system modifications to maintain high security and compliance standards.
Track team progress, align goals, and enforce engineering best practices.
Communicate plans and progress consistently to ensure visibility and alignment with stakeholders.
Represent the team’s strategy and roadmap with clarity and consistency.
Conduct risk analysis and proactively identify areas for improvement.
This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. #LI-Remote
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
7+ years of experience in software development as a software engineer, quality engineer, project manager, and/or agilist.
Proficiency in English at B2 level (Advanced).
Ability to work independently in a remote, multicultural team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proven leadership experience in people and project management.
Strong background in Agile methodologies and production support.
Experience developing secure, scalable corporate web applications.
Experience with development of corporate web applications
Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD, observability, and system architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
Programming Languages (Java/Golang, code design)
Testing strategies and frameworks
Microservices and micro frontend architectures
Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
