The Role

We are seeking a skilled Document Automation Specialist to join our Product Support team. Reporting to the Document Automation Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in helping clients streamline their corporate legal document generation through automation. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with clients to code documents across various areas of corporate law, providing training on best practices, and troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless implementation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, is eager to master custom syntax, learns quickly, and excels in a fast-paced work environment. Additionally, you will be passionate about sharing knowledge with both customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automate Corporate Legal Documents: Code and develop corporate legal document templates (e.g., registers, resolutions, agreements, government forms)  using Athennian's custom syntax to streamline automated document generation. 

  • Templates Management: Set up and manage custom and ATH standard coded templates to align with end-user requirements, optimizing configurations for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.

  • Customer Support & Troubleshooting: Provide prompt and effective support for document automation and coding-related inquiries, ensuring timely resolutions to client concerns.

  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Deliver training sessions and develop comprehensive resources to empower customers to code and customize templates, enabling them to independently maintain and optimize their document automation processes.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of automated templates across various workflows and use cases to meet high-quality standards, while identifying bugs and areas for improvement.

  • Process Improvement & Collaboration: Contribute innovative ideas to optimize document automation processes and implement best practices to ensure Athennian workflows address diverse customer needs, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementations.

  • User Stories & Bug Reporting: Create clear feature improvement stories for product enhancements and file software bugs to facilitate efficient resolution and continuous improvement.

  • Thought Leadership: Serve as a go-to resource on document automation best practices, fostering a positive, collaborative environment that encourages shared learning.

We have embraced a distributed model of working to reach the best talent in the world. While some roles may require proximity to our Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver offices, roles based outside our office locations can be remote in Canada and the US.
